Chapters
Our IEEE chapters are geographical units active in Germany and your first level contact point to join technical activities and do networking with other IEEE members. IEEE Technical Activities are the core activities of the IEEE and are organized in 36 Technical Societies.
A Chapter is a subunit of one ore more Societies and your local link to the valuable resources available from the IEEE. There are currently more than 25 active Chapters in Germany.
If you belong to an IEEE technical society without a local chapter in Germany, you are encouraged to form a new chapter, following the IEEE chapter formulation policy.

Germany Section Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society Chapter

Germany Section Antennas and Propagation, Microwave Theory and Techniques Societies Joint Chapter
The MTT/AP Joint Chapter represents the topics of the Microwave Theory and Techniques (MTT-S) and Antennas and Propagation (AP-S) technical societies in the IEEE Germany Section and currently comprises more than 650 members throughout Germany. The core purpose of the Chapter is to foster the advancement and application of RF and microwave theory, antenna technology, propagation of electromagnetic waves and related topics.

The main goal of the IEEE Germany Section EMC Society Chapter it to support technological innovations in the area of the electromagnetic compatibility including

The IEEE German ITSS Chapter was established in April 2019 to become the meeting place of choice for the intelligent transportation systems community in Germany. The chapter will unite these members and promote intelligent transportation systems in the country. The objectives of the IEEE ITSS German chapter are: To encourage researchers to cooperate; To increase contributions in the area of intelligent transportation systems; and To disseminate latest ITS innovations in Germany.

Germany Section Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society Chapter
German section of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society, the field of interest is Nuclear Science and Engineering (including radiation detection and monitoring instrumentation, radiation effects, nuclear biomedical applications, particle accelerators, and instrumentation for nuclear power generation), and Plasma Science and Engineering (including plasma dynamics, thermonuclear fusion, plasma sources, relativistic electron beams, laser plasma interactions, diagnostics, and solid state plasmas).

The IEEE Signal Processing Society Germany Chapter aims at high-quality technical interaction of its members on the national and international level. The technical fields of interaction have become prominent in terms of advanced signal processing for speech & audio applications, on the one hand, and for communications on the other hand. Elements of machine learning and artificial intelligence are recently spreading very quickly amongst the members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Germany Chapter. In doing so, a technical liaison is maintained with the respective groups of ITG/VDE (the information technology group) in Germany all the time.
