Day 2 of GECon 2025 in Hamburg delivered another round of memorable sessions and moments

The day began with a keynote by Dr. Amit Kumar, who shared cross-cultural insights into improving student preparedness — drawing lessons from Asia and India.

Attendees then engaged in parallel technical sessions exploring:
– STEM Education Initiatives, including AI use in schools and STEM pathways for women
– Remote Instructions, featuring innovations like metaverse labs and remote high-voltage setups

A sponsor session from MathWorks provided tools and perspectives for educational innovation.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to non-traditional teaching in engineering, with two sessions addressing:

– The use of large language models for secure exams
– Gameful learning, project-based courses, and HPC clusters built by students
– The importance of soft skills, hardware design labs, and additive manufacturing using wind turbines

In the evening, participants gathered for the Conference Dinner — an evening filled with great food and recognition of outstanding contributions.
