We kicked off the 4th IEEE German Education Conference (GECon 2025) today with many technical discussions at NORDAKADEMIE in Hamburg.

Our keynote by Prof. Dr. Julia Arlinghaus explored “Learning by Playing?!”—an insightful look into cognitive biases in education and industry.

Afternoon sessions continued with three workshops and a panel session related to educational technologies, the organization of IEEE student branches, and the use of AI in classrooms. The panel session opened a discussion for more inclusiveness of women in Engineering.

The day also continued with a session of the IEEE Education Society Chapter, where attendees shared their thoughts on future activities to be conducted by the Chapter committee.

The day concluded with a guided boat tour through Hamburg’s iconic harbor, learning about the most iconic places around the river.
