Reschedule of “Joint MOS-AK Workshop and Symposium on Schottky Barrier MOS (SB-MOS) devices” & IEEE EDS Mini-Colloquium on „Non-conventional Devices and Technologies“

The “Joint MOS-AK Workshop and Symposium on Schottky Barrier MOS (SB-MOS) devices” and IEEE EDS Mini-Colloquium on „Non-conventional Devices and Technologies“ are postponed.

Cancelation of event due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The IEEE EDS Mini-Colloquium on „Non-conventional Devices and Technologies“ in the time frame of the “Joint Spring MOS-AK Workshop and Symposium on Schottky Barrier MOS (SB-MOS) devices” has to be canceled due to the situation caused by the COVID-19.

Due to very recent regulations at THM no events gathering external attendees are allowed in the next weeks. These rules are pure precautionary measures, which apply until April 30 and should help to minimize the infection risk at the campus.

The IEEE YP Germany AG supported the Carlos Soares (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory) lecture on JPL Missions and the Evolution of Contamination Control as a Multi-Disciplinary Physics-Based Discipline. The event took place on February 10th, 2020 at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Gießen, Germany. Approximate 100 attendees visited the lecture of Dr. Soares from JPL.

Executive Committee Meeting of IEEE Germany Section

The IEEE ExCom Germany has organized an annual meeting in Frankfurt from 24th -25th October. The host was VDE-Haus in Frankfurt/Main. During the meeting, each committee and student branch have reported past activities during the last year and the planning for 2020. IEEE YP Germany Social Meeting in Stuttgart

The IEEE YP Germany AG organized a social meeting for the Stuttgart metropolitan area, which was opened for IEEE and non IEEE members to attend. The meeting took place at the Burger House in the Stuttgart city center. Some nice conversations regarding past and future activities took place. It was a nice event for the new ExCom members of the Germany AG.

 

Symposium on Schottky barrier MOS devices "Towards neuromorphic and quantum computing applications"

The 3rd Symposium on Schottky barrier MOS devices was held on October 4th, 2019 at the Amphi Bloch, Orme de Merisiers-CEA, Gif-sur Yvette, France. It was sponsored by Nanosaclay, the EDS French chapter, IEEE Young Professionals Germany Affinity Group, Silvaco Europe Ltd., Robert Bosch GmbH and hosted by Drs. Laurie E. Calvet and Francesca Chiodi (Center of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, CNRS-Université Paris-Sud). It was attended by 25 IEEE members, with approximately 10 non IEEE members.
